Meet the Maker

Welcome to Magnolia Street Soap Mill!
Hi there, and thank you for stopping by my shop! My journey into soapmaking began in 2015 in my small hometown of Del Rio, Texas—a place known for its rich history, Lake Amistad, Laughlin Air Force Base, and, of course, Julio's Corn Tortilla Chips!
What started as a creative outlet during an unexpected career break quickly turned into a passion. My very first batch of soap was a simple olive oil creation made for a friend, and from that moment, I was hooked. Soapmaking became more than a hobby—it became a way to share a little piece of happiness with others.
The name "Magnolia Street Soap Mill" holds a special place in my heart. It’s inspired by the street where I grew up as a teenager and where my great-grandfather lived. Magnolia Street was filled with cherished memories: delivering newspapers on my bike as a seventh grader, laughing with neighbors, and soaking in the charm of a close-knit community.
In July 2019, life brought me from the heart of Texas to the stunning desert landscapes of Tucson, Arizona. I’ve fallen in love with the vibrant art, culture, and those beautiful mountains that surround us here. The quirky, whimsical saguaros always bring a smile to my face, and I hope my handmade soaps do the same for you!
Each bar is crafted with care and love in small batches, using high-quality ingredients to ensure you enjoy a little moment of joy with every use. Thank you for supporting my small business and for letting me share my passion with you.
With love,
Elisa
